Bruno Mathsson

 

Bruno Mathsson was a well-known designer whose works were in demand the world over – with furniture designs exhibited at the World’s Fair in New York and winning prestigious awards. The son of a master carpenter, he was born in Värnamo, Sweden, and took an early interest in developing the form and function of furniture. Mathsson adopted functionalism as his design idiom, and his works include the Jetson easy chair and the mod.36 office, easy and reclining chair.
